On 14th September, 2019, Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) achieved the All India’s “Top 50 Prestigious School Jury Award (PSJA) 2019 – 20” in the category of “STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) Project of the Year”, given by Education Today. This prestigious award was received by Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder & Principal, MBRS and presented jointly by Mr. Anil Sharma, Managing Director, Education Today Magazine. and Ms. Pooja Agarwal, Founder & Director, Nature and Nurture. The award was handedover to Dr. Dutta at an Awards Ceremony organized by Education Today at The Lalit, Mumbai in presence of many Luminaries and Dignitaries.

This recognition has been granted by the panel of a Jury comprising eminent educationist and veterans. The main objective of holding this award ceremony is to Recognize and Honour those Pioneering and High Performing Educational Institutions which invaluably contributed to new innovations and dimensions in pedagogical system and brought change in conventional educational system for the utmost and all round development of the students. MBRS received this Prestigious Award in the category of STEM Project of the Year because of its sophisticated Robotics & STEAM Laboratories. Through STEAM center students get a deeper insight and curiosity through Hands on Learning Experiences * where students can apply the various concepts in different subjects that they learn in the classroom can be applied in designing the Robots and through STEAM experimentations.

In a special assembly on 18th September, 2019, Dr. N. K. Dutta was felicitated by the entire MBRS Fraternity for addition of this astounding and unique new feather of success to the cap of MBRS which has become possible due to his Tireless Effort, Selfless Dedication and Mentorship. While addressing the assembly he recalled the MBRS journey when there was the beginnings of a Digital Revolution and MBRS was one of the pioneering schools to launch Standalone Machines for Computer Education. Thereafter MBRS was one of the first schools to introduce Audio Visual Learning by installing TVs in Classrooms. Subsequently Smartboards were introduced in the whole school. In course of his speech he mentioned how technology is going to help Classroom Learning by using Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Dr. Dutta also shared his experiences in the Project Zero Classroom Program which he persued in 2015 at the Principal’s Centre, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard University, Boston, USA where experts and educationist developed these methods to make Science and Mathematics interesting in the classroom. With this in mind, to make the classrooms vibrant and engaging he was innovative to pioneer the setting of STEAM Center (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) in the country in MBRS.
