Teachers’ Day 2026 Celebrated with Grandeur at MBRS

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at MBRS on Saturday, 5 September 2026, in honour of the true nation builders, our respected teachers.

The celebrations commenced at 8:30 AM at the AnuChandra Auditorium & Multi Sports Complex with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a heartfelt Shradhanjali to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the felicitation of our revered Founder & Principal, Dr. Nripen Kumar Dutta.

Honouring the Role of Teachers

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Dutta highlighted the profound role teachers play in shaping the lives and futures of their students. He emphasised that teachers are not merely providers of knowledge, but also guides, mentors and changemakers who inspire students to learn, grow and contribute meaningfully to society.

Reflecting on the philosophy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, he reminded the audience that learning and teaching are lifelong journeys towards true intelligence and wisdom.

A Celebration of Talent and Creativity

The Teachers’ Day programme featured a vibrant array of student performances, showcasing the diverse talents and creativity of the students.
The cultural presentations included welcome songs, stage performances, Hindi and Sanskrit recitations, Manipuri and Sattriya dances, folk and fusion dances, hip hop and semi classical performances, instrumental music, a mime show and a captivating drama presentation.

A special Felicitation Ceremony was also organised to honour and appreciate the teachers for their dedication and contribution to education. The ceremony was followed by Naam Prasanga and an instrumental music performance by the students.

Teachers Take Centre Stage

One of the highlights of the celebration was the Teachers’ Sports Events, which brought an atmosphere of fun, energy and camaraderie to the occasion.

The teachers enthusiastically participated in exciting activities including Musical Chair, Balance Race and a Soccer Match. The events created many memorable moments filled with laughter, friendly competition and togetherness.

Education in an Evolving World

The celebration also reflected on the changing nature of education. From the earliest days of human civilisation to the modern era of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, education has continuously evolved.

With information now available at the click of a button, the role of a teacher has become more significant than ever. Teachers today are called upon not simply to impart knowledge, but to inspire, guide and create meaningful learning experiences that help students think critically, explore creatively and grow with confidence.

As we look towards the future, let us strive to make our classrooms joyful, interactive and engaging, while empowering every teacher to become a true changemaker in the lives of their students.

A Memorable Conclusion

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Cultural Secretary Thingbaijam Malemnganbi (XII), followed by the National Anthem.

The programme was anchored by Eraliza Laloo and Palak Prasad (XII), with overall volunteering support provided by the School Council Members.

The Teachers’ Day celebration at MBRS was a fitting tribute to the educators whose dedication, wisdom and compassion continue to shape generations and build the foundation of a better tomorrow.
