MU20 Knowledge Festival 2026: Bronsonians Engage with Global Ideas, Leadership and Sustainability
The MU20 Knowledge Festival 2026, organised by MU20 School of Opportunity, was held from 3rd to 5th August 2026 at FLAME University, Pune. The three-day residential festival brought together 1,500+ students from 180 schools, 75 cities and 35 countries, creating a diverse platform for young minds to learn, collaborate and engage with contemporary global issues.
Representing Miles Bronson Residential School, four Bronsonians participated in this enriching educational experience, gaining exposure to leadership, diplomacy, sustainability, policy-making and international affairs.
A Festival of Learning Beyond the Classroom
The MU20 Knowledge Festival brought together two major programmes: Oxford Global MUN India 2026 and the HPAIR Sustainability Impact Summit (HSIS) 2026.
The HPAIR Sustainability Impact Summit was organised under the Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR), a student-led organisation at Harvard College that provides a platform for young people to engage with important economic, political and social issues.
While the Oxford Global MUN focused on diplomacy, international relations, negotiation, research and public speaking, HSIS provided participants with an opportunity to explore sustainability, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), policy innovation and real-world environmental and social challenges.
The festival encouraged students to move beyond conventional classroom learning and engage with ideas through discussion, debate, collaboration and practical problem-solving.
Developing Skills Through Oxford Global MUN
As part of the Oxford Global MUN India 2026, participants stepped into the role of international delegates and represented different countries in structured committee sessions.
The experience required students to research global issues, understand different perspectives, present their country’s position and negotiate with fellow delegates to develop possible solutions.
For the Bronsonians, the MUN experience provided valuable opportunities to strengthen their:
- Public speaking and communication skills
- Research and analytical thinking
- Negotiation and diplomacy skills
- Leadership and teamwork
- Understanding of international relations and global affairs
The simulation helped students understand the importance of collaboration and constructive dialogue when addressing complex global challenges.
Exploring Sustainability Through HSIS
The HPAIR Sustainability Impact Summit (HSIS) 2026 introduced students to sustainability through the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Participants explored real-world environmental and social challenges, discussed potential solutions and examined how governments, organisations and communities can work together to create meaningful change.
The programme encouraged students to think critically about sustainability and consider the role that young people can play in shaping a more responsible and sustainable future.
Connecting, Collaborating and Building Global Perspectives
One of the most valuable aspects of the festival was the opportunity for students to interact with peers from different schools, cities and countries.
With participants representing 35 countries, the festival created an environment of cultural exchange and diverse perspectives. Through academic sessions, discussions and social interactions, Bronsonians were able to exchange ideas, build new friendships and gain a broader understanding of the world around them.
The residential format further enhanced the experience by allowing students to immerse themselves fully in the programmes while developing independence, confidence and interpersonal skills.
Learning at FLAME University
Hosting the festival at FLAME University, Pune provided students with an inspiring university-style learning environment.
The campus offered a setting where students could engage in academic discussions, teamwork and independent thinking outside the traditional school environment. The experience gave the Bronsonians a glimpse into the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of university life.

A Meaningful Educational Experience
The MU20 Knowledge Festival 2026 demonstrated the value of providing students with opportunities to learn beyond textbooks and classrooms. Through diplomacy simulations, policy discussions, sustainability challenges, teamwork and interaction with students from diverse backgrounds, the Bronsonians were encouraged to become confident communicators, critical thinkers and responsible global citizens.
