CONFERENCE ON DIVERSITY, INCLUSION, MUTUAL RESPECT FOR THE YOUTH” ORGANIZED BY VIVEKANANDA KENDRA INSTITUTE CULTURE (VKIC)

Miles Bronson Residential (MBRS), Guwahati, participated in an enlightening session on G20 C20 Conference entitled “Diversity, Inclusion, Mutual Respect for the Youth”, which was held on 25th May,2023. The conference was hosted by organized by Vivekananda Kendra Institute Culture (VKIC).
Seven students from MBRS participated in the conference Adrika Pegu (XI Humanities), Alabaster Bamon (XII Science), Chayamoh Woch (XI Humanities), Genevia Shylla (XII Science), Mridusmita Baruah (XII Science) guided by their teacher Sima Prava Gogoi (PGT Political Science).
The G-20 C-20 Conference, mainly focused on two themes: Vasudaivaya Kutumbakam (One Earth One Family One Future) and Idea of Diversity, Inclusion and Mutual Respect. The Conference started with the introduction of a documentary on C20 Agenda 2023 with special focus on its objectives of integrating holistic health, mind, body and environment; active participation of sustainable and resilient communities; lifestyle for environment (LiFE).

The conference was graced by Resource Persons like Dr. Ramesh Chandra Deka (Vice Chancellor, Cotton University),Nabajit Chandra Deori (NSS, Ministry of Youth Affairs) and Dr. Vikash Tripathi, (Professor, Dept. of Political Science, GU) who highlighted some valuable points during their presentation on impact of globalization, implementation of global politics of G-20; Y20; C20, importance of Youth in framing the ideas of social transformation, Inclusion of Diversity in National Education Policy, 2020. Our students participated in the discussions with full interest and asked few concerning questions to the resource persons . Last but not the least, the conference concluded with a beautiful presentation on “Towards creating Youth Leaders”
