MBRS Under-17 Boys’ Basketball Team Crowned Champions at Inter-School Basketball Championship 2026

Miles Bronson Residential School is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of its Under-17 Boys’ Basketball Team, which emerged as Champions at the Inter-School Basketball Championship 2026. Hosted by Don Bosco School on 16–17 May 2026, the tournament brought together eleven leading schools from the Greater Guwahati Region, providing a highly competitive platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and sportsmanship.

The championship culminated in an exciting and closely contested final match against Kendriya Vidyalaya Borjhar. Demonstrating exceptional teamwork, determination, discipline, and resilience, the MBRS team secured a hard-fought victory with a score of 50–45, bringing home the coveted championship trophy and making the entire Bronsonian community proud.

Throughout the tournament, the team displayed remarkable skill, strategic play, and unwavering commitment. Their collective effort and sportsmanship reflected the values of perseverance and excellence that Miles Bronson Residential School seeks to instill in its students both on and off the court.

Adding to the team’s success, two MBRS players received individual honours for their exceptional performances during the tournament. Jiwang Tayang, the team captain, was awarded the prestigious Player of the Tournament title for his leadership and outstanding contribution on the court. Abu Sohail was recognized with the Promising Player Award, highlighting his talent and potential as a young athlete.
