MBRS Leads with Compassion Through Mutthi Bhar Anaaj 4.0

On December 22, 2025, the students of Miles Bronson Residential School embarked on a soul enriching outreach visit to the Mother Teresa Charity Home in Lankeshwar, Guwahati. The initiative aimed to foster empathy while bridging the gap between young learners and marginalized communities.

This visit was organized under the Mutthi Bhar Anaaj 4.0 initiative by AFS: American Field Services, a global non profit, volunteer driven intercultural learning organization that works with schools and youth networks across the world to promote peace, understanding, active citizenship, and community service. AFS empowers young people to become compassionate global citizens through meaningful exchanges, social impact projects, and service learning experiences such as this outreach program.

The campus, home to residents who are differently abled, facing mental health challenges, or displaced due to difficult family circumstances, offered students an eye opening opportunity to understand resilience and human dignity. Upon arrival, students engaged in heartfelt conversations, listened to personal stories, and offered companionship that created moments of warmth and connection.

A spiritual session followed, after which the atmosphere blossomed into a vibrant cultural exchange with soulful performances, including “Just Pray,” presented by both MBRS students and the talented residents of the home.

As part of the Mutthi Bhar Anaaj 4.0 initiative, the students distributed nearly 45 to 50 kg of essential dry rations and pre loved clothing. This included 32 kg of rice, 7 kg of pulses, 5 kg of sugar, along with oil, salt, biscuits, and clothing items. These contributions marked the successful culmination of the fourth edition of the campaign and reinforced the spirit of selfless service.

Celebrated throughout December, International Volunteer Month honors the unwavering dedication of volunteers across the globe. MBRS proudly participates in this spirit of giving, encouraging students to contribute meaningfully to society. The Mutthi Bhar Anaaj drive, now in its fourth edition, has grown remarkably over the years, touching thousands of lives through collective generosity.

True mobility comes from the heart. Through simple acts of kindness, sharing a conversation, offering support, or walking alongside someone, our students experienced the profound impact of compassion and community care.

MBRS remains committed to nurturing responsible, empathetic global citizens who understand that every handful of grains and every act of kindness can create lasting change.
