Superb Success by MBRS Students at AFS Regional Conference 2025

Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) is proud to announce the remarkable achievements of its students at the prestigious AFS Regional Conference, East India, held from August 22–24, 2025. This three-day event, hosted by SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, and SAI International Residential School, Cuttack, brought together young minds from across the region under the theme Global Goals, Local Action.

Representing MBRS at this vibrant intercultural platform were two AFS Student Ambassadors: Aarohan Rabha (Class 9) and Dhanika Haobam (Class 11, Humanities). They were accompanied by Honourable Secretary Nandini Ma’am, Director Henaa Ma’am (MBRS AFS Head), and Ms. Simana Chakraborty (PGT Sociology).

The conference aimed to foster leadership, intercultural understanding, and youth-led initiatives aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event began with engaging ice-breaking sessions where students shared details of their culture and identities, followed by insightful addresses, including a session on Designing Change for Peace and the Planet by Dr. Swati Mishra.

MBRS students proudly represented their roots through a captivating performance of the Manipuri Dance and the Rabha Dance at the cultural evening, earning applause and admiration from the audience.

A highlight of the conference was the achievement of Aarohan Rabha, who clinched the Gold Medal in the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Puzzle Building & Riddle Solving activity held on August 24. This accomplishment showcased his quick thinking, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to learn and adapt in diverse settings.

The conference concluded with a community service activity at Munda Sahi village, where delegates engaged with the local community, emphasizing the spirit of giving back and grassroots-level action for sustainable impact.

MBRS extends its heartiest congratulations to Aarohan, Dhanika, and their proud parents for their inspiring participation and achievements. This recognition marks yet another milestone in MBRS’s journey of nurturing globally-minded, responsible citizens.
