Performance by MBRS Students at SAI Model United Nations 2025 – SAI International School, Bhubaneswar

Miles Bronson Residential School is proud to share the outstanding participation of our students at the 13th SAI Model United Nations (SAIMUN) 2025, hosted by SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, from 25th to 27th July 2025.

This prestigious conference brought together over 750 delegates from 23 countries and 27 schools, both national and international, to deliberate on pressing global issues, mirroring the functioning of the United Nations.

MBRS Delegates

Three bright students from Class X, accompanied by Ms. Soma Dey (Curriculum Coordinator), represented MBRS with remarkable zeal and dedication:

Misbahul Haque, Std. 10 UNFCCC Committee
Topic: Air Quality & Health Crisis in Major Cities

Bodharajan Oinam, Std. 10 UNICEF Committee
Topic: Cyber Bullying & Online Exploitation

Shumirchandra Huidrom, Std. 10 WHO Committee
Topic: Addressing the Global Burden of Non Communicable Diseases

Achievement

We are delighted to announce that Misbahul Haque received the distinguished “Special Mention” award in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) committee. His success is a reflection of his excellent research, diplomacy, and oratory skills, and a moment of pride for MBRS.

This recognition underscores not only Misbahul’s commitment but also the academic culture of excellence that MBRS continuously fosters.

Beyond the Conference

The enriching experience extended beyond committee sessions. On 27th July, our students embarked on a cultural excursion to the Konark Sun Temple and the Golden Beach at Puri. The visit provided valuable insights into the historical and architectural significance of the Konark Temple, with preserved artifacts showcased in a nearby museum. The day concluded with leisure and reflection by the serene Puri coastline, adding joy and cultural depth to the academic journey.

Conclusion

The MBRS delegation’s performance at SAIMUN 2025 was a blend of intellectual engagement, global awareness, and cultural exploration. We commend our students for their dedication and extend gratitude to the host school for providing such a stimulating platform for young minds
