MBRS Celebrates the 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour
The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Miles Bronson Residential School with great zeal and patriotic spirit. The programme commenced at 9:00 AM as the Head Boy and Head Girl warmly welcomed the Revered Founder and Principal Sir.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the Tricolour National Flag by our Revered Founder and Principal Sir, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, filling the campus with pride and unity.
Setting the tone for the morning, the Head Boy and Head Girl delivered the opening address. This was followed by an inspirational speech by the Principal Sir, who highlighted the significance of Independence Day and encouraged students to uphold the values of freedom, responsibility, and national integrity.
The cultural programme beautifully showcased the talents of MBRS students. Highlights included:
A patriotic dance performance by Class III students, warmly applauded by all.
An Assamese recitation by Neha Bodo of Class XI (Science).
A patriotic group song presented by the students of Classes IX and X.
A Sanskrit recitation by Om Raj Gupta of Class VI, adding a classical touch.
A lively dance performance by the students of Classes VII, VIII, and IX.
A heartfelt speech reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
A spirited group song by the students of Classes VI, VII, and XI.
An English poem recitation by Soumya Choudhary of Class IV, which drew much appreciation.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors, followed by the distribution of sweets and snacks among the students, adding joy to the occasion.
The celebrations not only paid homage to the heroes of India’s freedom struggle but also instilled in students a renewed sense of patriotism and responsibility as future citizens of the nation.
